TBH- in an earlier post you question marked whether having an awareness of feeling wrong and health issues is enough to stop drinking. Nope- not for me. I always knew this but it was another excuse to drink- poor little me. Action, for me screams very loudly. Thoughts evoke.

My husband filed for divorce and was granted temporary custody of our son. That did it for me. I went to inpatient rehab after that. Didn't think I needed it (and unfortunately our insurance agrees b/c they won't pay for it), but I didn't want to mess around. I went to a non 12 step rehab of my choosing before a judge ordered me to go to AA.
