weaning -- Oh how we like to cheat !

I have always preferred cold turkey although while in treatment once they said that it was best to wean me due to the excessive drugs and booze in my system. But, this weaning process did not take long -- proxy 3 or 4 days under doctors care with no cheating. Oh how we like to cheat !

I believe you for sure here. When I was 90 days clean i rode this straight down water slide. I got a huge adrenaline rush. I felt normal all day. Unfortunately, the funk slowly came back.

Glad you brought up the adventure experiences for healing. Getting the fun anxiety definitely is something we can do during our journey back to normalcy.

Cassie, consider some physical adventures during your healing. It may help.

Thanks.

Why do you need an MD? Rather go psycologist specialising in addiction then.

I tapered, back when I was drinking daily I was probably drinking 14-16 beers everyday, I just started dropping one per day until I got to about 6 a day and just quit, however my body was different back then and seemed to process alcohol more normally, now I get the sweats and shakes bad after drinking so the taper I used back then doesn't work now,I just cold turkey it,tapering only prolongs the agony
