Apparently, I look healthier...

I stopped drinking the day after Labor Day 2016.
I have a long time friend I see about once a month. We met yesterday and she could not get over how healthy I look. I never told her I started drinking again in 2015 after 25 months of sobriety, so I also didn't tell her I quit again 5 weeks ago.
It was nice to have some unbiased feedback.
Now, if I could just get rid of the headaches...

I remember getting some comments like that too from some people - that I looked younger or healthier. It's nice to know that other people notice!

Nothing better than both feeling great and looking great!

edit: not to minimize the headaches you're having though, I bet those improve with time.

I often have people tell me I look good recently. I think it's partly a healthier body, but I also have a much better outlook in general, smile more, and am more relaxed. All of that makes us look better!
