It really hasn't been that bad, I'm sure Friday will be the worst😕
I really should start exercising again, it would probably help my mood and anxiety. Although I already feel less anxious & I haven't had a panic attack since Sunday .
I'm also sleeping a lot better. The downfall is my lack of communication with my husband. Not that we don't talk, but I go to bed by 8 (so I am not tempted to drink, because he is) and he stays up late and heads to bed around 11 or later.
I feel a bit disconnected as well as some resentment because it doesn't affect him the same way.
Anyway, on to day 6.

Congrats on 5 days Gingerspice. Take it a day at a time...try not to think about Fri. Stay in the present. It's normal to feel disconnected in a lot of ways, sort of "unplugged." Best of luck to you
Ginger,
The mental part is not as painful but it lasts a long time.
Going to bed early is one of many options.
As you get stronger you might venture out for some ice cream or to see a youth baseball game. These are things sober people do at night. Drunks are generally in a cell for the night unless they risk dui.
Thanks for the post.

Well done on 5 sober days.
I am on day 5 myself after a relapse. Had 25 months sober and then was on and off it for four months.
Have started back at what worked for me in the beginning. It really is only ever one day at a time,
Try not to think too far ahead, as I am trying not to think backwards either.
good luck with what you are doing today.
