I feel like God is going to punish me.
Yeah Dee -
I went to that meeting tonight. And I have a plan for the week right now. Plus I'll be giving AA a try and logging in here at SR.
Gotta pick up that shovel is so true.
Tonight, at the meeting, there was a woman there with 15 days sober who had just left her husband and kid in order to make the sober journey. Talk about picking up a shovel!
Her first sponsor was her husband's ex-wife. It wasn't working out so she found another sponsor. Turns out she had moved in with the first sponsor and when she found another sponsor the first sponsor kicked her out.
She had no where to stay tonight.
The very next person to share was a woman that offered her place while this gal got back on her feet. Pretty dang impressive.

If you fancy a good read, treat yourself to Nadia Bolz-Weber's book 'Accidental Saints'. I'm pretty sure that what she has written will help you (she also has some good online sermons on her website.)
Nadia is now a priest, but she has walked the 12-step recovry path herself, and shares an inspirational message of God's love and grace, and one that gave me much hope and strength.
Wishing you all the best for your recovery. BB
