Days 8&9

I work 12- hour shifts, so it is basically work\sleep\work\sleep, BUT, I used to stick drinking in there too, and for 9+ days I haven't. Not in denial that the temptations aren't going to come, will try a meeting on Saturday...We can do this, ONE DAYT AT A TIME!

Fortress, congratulations! Getting through that first week is a huge accomplishment. Looking forward to hearing about your meeting!

Fort,

You are clean now. Congrats.

The brain still needs to adjust though. Many months in my case.

It will take time to build sober muscles w activities you do during your awake time sober. I'm at 17 months and I am still mentally healing.

The crave you feel is the brain damage. I crave daily.

Stay sober...a relapse now will bring guilt and shame. Remember how bad it was when you quit. I nearly crashed my car while detoxing. Hypoglycemia attack. It was horrible.

Unlearn your drinking behavior. Sobriety is normal, not a fad.

Thanks for the post.
