I was overwhelmed watching the show on Saturday night and overjoyed at being a Canadian. Saturday night was about who we are. CBC showed the concert live, commercial free, for 3 hours. Gord was amazingly courageous and strong. Prayers for him and his family.

If you make a greatest hits cd, out of The Hip's discography, it's hard to pick what to leave off of the album. I've always felt this way about this band.

Awesome, can't believe the class and dignity he showed. For him to appeal to the Prime Minister to move on First Nations issues really blew me away and made me realize that the time for reconciliation and healing between our communities is now, not tomorrow.

I'll check some of their earlier stuff tomorrow.

ironically I wasnt a very big Hip fan, but I always liked them.. id been to maybe 5 of their concerts, and I dont even really like concerts..lol

They def have an Aussie appeal to them, they often shared stages on tour with Fine Young Cannibals and Midnight Oil.

I always thought of them as a mix btw REM and Pearl Jam, so if thats your taste youd probably enjoy their music from the 90s
