Hi, I am sobor77727 and I celebrated 43 years of continuous sobriety yesterday. My last sponsor was my sponsor for 31 years and he died quite suddenly, so that now the shock has worn off somewhat, I am looking for a sponsor. I live in the Indianapolis area and am quite disappointed with AA and CR (I used to attend CR meetings regularly, but they seem to be highly political and money driven in the last few years). I have missed 3 AA meetings in 43 years, but also am disappointed in the Indianapolis AA--this could be because I have been going to many club meetings during the day. Celebrating my 43 years of sobriety yesterday at a club meeting, I mentioned that I give full credit to Jesus for the many good things I have received.
A couple of the club members acted as though they wanted to physically fight with me. By the way, I have written a website (seven years in the making). If you get curious, look for "Gifts from Jesus Christ."
