Gifts from the universe to us
Thankyou spacegoat. I finally had the time to watch that clip. I'd love to see a murmur of starlings.
I'm in Vancouver today. Very tired. I can't find an image that begins to capture the blueness of blues here and the sharpness of all colors and lights. Clean air is a precious thing.

P.S. Someone might wonder why I chose to meditate today on the fascinating interplay of force and motion. (Probably no one will, but someone might. ) It came out of being tired again -- today I took no fewer than 7 trains and a plane! So since I'm a bit depleted from all that inside, I tried to find the gift in that depletion, which made me think of rest. But I already posted once here about sleep (I think).
Then I thought, an object at rest remains at rest.
Apparently, unless a 7th grader nudges it.

You, too, are a gift from the universe.
Oh wow! Beautiful, Coldfusion! Thx & it's nice to see you
I saw an orange hibiscus blooming outside the Memorial SloanKettering Breast Cancer Center today. I pass by almost every day on my way to work. There are a lot of gifts wrapped into that one.

I was caught in a very light rain today and found shelter under a plane tree. In other climates, a banana leaf works well.

How do I post on this website a photograph I took? I want to send you my "gift" but I feel so helpless in this "digital" age. Helpless and a little depressed. Lonely but the sun should be enough for me, the flowers, the trees, the birds, the dog. We should resist Ecclesiastes when he says that all is "vanity" but in these times it seems doubly difficult to do so....
Bill.
Bill.
Yes, it's digital although it does not have a URL attached to it. It is merely one of my photos which has been transferred to the photos section of my computer. I have a Mac. I can send photos by Email. How can I get it into a SoberRecovery post? It has no URL attached to it.
Painter -
Start a post and do the following - no URL required - that is if the link in from a website, not on your machine.
Simply load the file via attachment option on SR.
1 - type whatever you want in a new post
2. Click on GoAdvanced on bottom of post view (next to post quick reply)
3, When new window appears notice a paperclip symbol on top of toolbar - next to smiley face choices. Click on paper clip icon
4. New window opens
5, Click choose file and locate your picture on your Mac
6. Click on the pic file - the file name should now be visible under choose file - Hit upload next to the file name - to the right side of Choose file option
7. Once uploaded hit close this window on bottom of screen showing file name and upload.
8. Window will close and file should now be good to post
9. Hit preview post and it should be visible in your post - if all is good hit submit!
Note that there are file size limitations - I don't recall right now, but it's around 97kb. A file larger will prompt a message stating file is too large.
The file size can be reduced - that is another post though......
Best of luck!

I use a free image hosting service -- I use postimage.org but there are others. All you do is upload your image from your hard/thumb drive or the cloud, and it hosts the image with a URL.
After you upload the image, resizing if wanted, you copy the URL (from the direct link option) and insert it in your post, bracketed by the tags .
One of these ways is sure to work for you!
