1st meeting, day 3 coming to an end
Made the day busy, laundry, visited my mom, went to a meeting with my acquaintance (now new friend!), grocery shopped.
Meeting was scary at first, I'm a nervous person in new situations. Got a lot of support, a 24 hour chip, and everyone during the meeting chipped in to give me a copy of the big book. I was in tears - these people don't even know me. It gave me strength.
I'll be back!

So happy that you enjoyed your first meeting and made a new friend.
I have learned to push myself out of my comfort zone the longer that I am in recovery. When I was using I secluded myself and just kept with what I was comfortable with, using using using. Now I like to try new things, push myself, and better myself as much as I can.
Keep moving forward and pushing yourself, it is worth it!

I kept getting error messages trying to post last night, so I hope it didn't post more than once!
Sunday evenings will be good for me, too. There's also a sober cafe in town they usually go to after, I'll check that out maybe next time. Sounds like an awesome place.

Really good to hear you made it to your first meeting Cherrybreeze. Fear of walking through that door is soooo common. The relief felt upon finding all those supportive folks is just as common as the fear that precedes it.
