moving through the pain
I rarely get inspired by TV commercials. One for fibromyalgia caught my attention tonight.
My doctor says moving reduces the pain
Move through the pain.
That's how you deal with addiction. It's like a swamp that you slog through. Patches of quicksand try to suck you down. Everything around you wants to suck you in to oblivion. And it hurts the you that wants to be sober.
Move through the pain.
The fight physically and mentally hurts. If you stop, the pain stops. Momentarily. Then the addiction wants more and the pain starts again and the swamp sucks you back in.
Move through the pain.
Never stop moving forward. Scratch, claw, dig in your toes. Fight, fight, fight.
