Norma (my AV) is very chatty this afternoon. She keeps telling me I don't actually have a problem, that one glass of wine is fine and totally acceptable - normal even! She says that I deserve it because I've been doing so well.
I think I'm going to take my daughter to the pool and run a few laps until Norma is too out of breath to keep whispering in my ear.
I am NOT drinking today.

Isn't it empowering when we realize that we do not have to listen to that annoying persistent voice in the back of our mind?
Great choice to go somewhere with your daughter instead of giving in to that voice
I have found the longer I am sober the less and less and less I hear my annoying AV.

That Norma is such a liar! She knows you really don't want anything that is "normal" like one glass of wine...you want a couple of bottles of wine!
Norma knows that if you just start with that one glass, your brain will be compromised and she'll get her way!
Don't let her fool you! Your plan of kicking her butt by exercising is a good one! :-)

Hi AmazingJoy! Thanks for thing of me!
I did pretty well yesterday - my plan to quiet old Norma worked beautifully and she's fairly quiet right now. I have a busy evening with possible triggers but I've got a plan in place to deal with them so, unfortunately for Norma, I won't be drinking today.
