Question about withdrawal symptom

I mentioned in another post that I have been experiencing blurred vision especially when trying to read smaller print, has anyone else experienced this? I know my vitamin B levels were next to nill and began taking suppliments, to boost them. I have been doing a lot of research on withdrawal symptoms but I have yet to find anything on blurred vision

The best thing to do, for peace of mind, is to talk to your dr or optometrist.

Agree. Talk to your Dr.

It's funny you mention this, though, because once I had some sustained sobriety and was more aware of what was going on around me, it occurred to me that my "suddenly" poor eyesight wasn't probably such a sudden change. I had just been checked out for so long that I wasn't doing much sustained reading or even observing something so basic in myself. Sad, huh?

Not to be too personal, but how old are you?

It could just be that now that you're trying to read sober that you can notice the changes that come with age. Is it better in brighter light?

Hi aries, I am 47, yes brighter light does help and larger print also, I have always had astigmatism since I was a kid and my glasses are up to date, I just find it odd that I would notice this now quite possible that doing anything sober is going to feel different, as I mentioned I will call my eye doctor and get an exam in.

Yep big time. For me low blood sugar plays into that as well. For me it does get better after a few weeks.

When I was in the acute withdrawal phase, I had blurry vision for a few days. It wasn't until I had a few days of eating well and getting good sleep that my vision went back to normal. It could be caused by high blood pressure from the withdrawal, but I would suggest seeing your doctor if it persists or gets worse.
