18 Weeks
At 18 weeks sober now.
We were on vacation this past weekend and went to a restaurant were we know many of the locals and the band. Had dinner and then needed to make a call to leave. Folks were asking why I wasn't drinking and I had no problem telling them but I knew the longer I stayed my AV would start to pipe up - so best to leave the situation.
I also had the first incident that I was not invited to a normal sports viewing event because folks thought I wouldn't want to go since I am not drinking. I thought that was interesting given these are very good friends. I suppose some make assumptions or don't quite know how to handle this situation.
Anyway, sticking to the plan - counseling session next Friday, Continued focus on my health/exercise, and checking into here often.
