I never had any of those, mostly. Kept me drinking over 35 years - what if?

I assure you I'd step over him on my way to taking care of my own sobriety.........I can't save the world. Maybe you can be an example to him. That fact he's discussing his habits/quantity and useage may be a sign he's reaching out sort of, I suppose.

When I said no hospital, no shakes, no vomiting, no sweats, I meant when he does stop drinking. He said he drinks 2 bottles everyday for weeks/months in a row, then just stops for a couple of weeks (because his GF gives him an ultimatum) and doesn't suffer any withdrawls. Either he exaggerating the amount he drink or denying he gets withdrawl symptons. Something is not true. Anyway, its his life, not mine.
I did mention SR to him though and said it was very helpful. I wrote the website down for him.
