Yesterday turned out to be a lovely day all around. Started with the gym. When I got home I made cookies with the kids and finished the puzzle I started last Monday. The kids then helped me detail my car. We went car shopping and bought my new car, which I will get next week after a few items are done on it (yay!). Next was a family dinner, and shopping for a birthday present and then some home improvement items. And then we all watched A Walk In The Woods (I felt they were all humor ing me in watching it, but I think they actually enjoyed it.)

All in all a very productive weekend day... Not in the traditional sense of having tackled all kinds of chores on my list, as typically I would think productive... But we spent a lot of nice time together while getting things done that we enjoyed... And I was able to weave in some quality "me" time.

Speaking of which, when I went to bed I had a headache. I decided to listen to a meditation in hopes it would help me fall asleep. I slept horribly... Had strange dreams. I woke up in the middle of the night and made the connection that twice before in the last twelve days when I attempted to meditate to fall asleep the same thing happened. I think I won't try that again... But I'm curious why meditating of all things would bring on bad dreams.

Today we have several things on tap.... And I really should interweave some of those pesky house chores into the mix. :-). We'll see ... I'm not so sure I will do that, but I know that I will not drink today.
