What a difference a few weeks makes...

6 weeks a go a Saturday would have involved reeling from Friday night's bottle of wine...or two...and a greasy takeaway...it is the end of the week afterall and dont I deserve a treat...a reward? Saturday I would be eating the leftovers and waiting for the shopping to be delivered...which would have been bringing my weekend's supply of wine. I possibly would have had my first glass around 10am and then continued through the rest of the day. I would do household chores so as to kid myself that I was being productive.

Fast forward to today...my 5th sober weekend. Friday night was spent relaxing and eating a healthy balanced meal. After a restful sleep the morning started clear headed and with a great breakfast...the shopping arrives...minus alcohol and packed with wholesome, nutritious food. This afternoon I completed a workout and am now relaxing with a cup of green tea...candles on...nice and cosy. Feels great ☺

Have a fabulously sober weekend people x

That is great! I am feeling the same way: woke up sober, went for a long walk, did the laundry, made a nice breakfast, just mopped the floors. Sure, nothing special, but at least it was all done with a clear head, and no guilt.

Congrats on six weeks sober! I get my reward for staying sober each morning when I wake up feeling good.

You can have reasons, or you can have results, but you can't have both.

Yes, isn't it just amazing??!! Instead of being hungover, I handled a ton of awesome and potentially lucrative business transactions today...and the weekend is only half done!

Weekends are busy in my line of work, and the early bird gets the worm! Up and at it!
