460 days
It's been around 460 days since I sobered up. Living a sober life has been one of the biggest accomplishments of my life. I've learned a lot and sobriety has a way of continuing to open doors to a richer, fuller and more rewarding and engaging life.
What's been meaningful to me lately is that sobriety is not a destination. Sobriety is a journey. My sobriety, in fact my whole life, is not about some future day when everything will be perfect; but rather it's about how I choose to live into the present moment right where I am today. When I can grasp onto that and move beyond my self-judgements, fears, insecurities and dissatisfactions, then when I'm doing the best that I can today I'm right where I need to be.
