Workday mid-afternoon slump?

I've been noticing a mid afternoon energy and mood slump. Is this typical? I guess this is typical for everyone. Just more pronounced these days.

Right there with ya. Of course, I did have the VP of Safety take me out to lunch and I had pasta. Bad decision. Makes the afternoon slump even worse.

Mmmmm pasta. I'm having a cookie and a latte to cope - I definitely never ate sweets before. Gotta replace those converted sugars with the real deal now I guess. Eating healthy otherwise and yes I know the cookie will just make my slump deeper. But it did pick up my mood because I chatted on the phone with a long distance friend and she did the same and we pretended we were at a cafe together ... Sigh not quite convincing. Okay back to work slump slump slump

Ugh... And this is why I don't eat sweets. Sits in my stomach like sludge. But at least that's all that's in my stomach no more boozebile.

This made me think tho - what's everyone's struggle point in the day? Mine is mid afternoon and then when I leave work around 7:30 I get a little blue.

My hardest time was right after supper and clean-up. That's when I would want to start drinking. So, I started going out walking at that time and it made an enormous difference.

My worst time is now 4:30-5pm.
Since I'd be having my first drink or at least planning it.

So right this second.. I'm feeling it!

Coffee and cookie ... Sounds about right
