Newbie
Welcome to the forum and the good news is you can have your life back and then some, takes some work but worth every second in my experience.
One thing that helped me was reading posts as I could relate to many, see what people with sobriety suggested, take what you think will work for you and make a plan to stay sober.
Glad you are here

Apart from working on my mindset (which has been weak in the past) and remind myself why I need to do this. Learn from past mistakes and remember lies I told myself. And obviously use this group which I have not tried before do you have any suggestions. Thank you very much

Here's a link that can boost you along the plan-path:

You can have reasons, or you can have results, but you can't have both.

Good for you, and you can start looking forward to a happier, healthier life. What are your drinking triggers and how can you avoid or manage them? If you get a sudden craving, how will you handle it?
Plan these things out and you'll be off to a good start!

I am really focusing on the mindset and am intercepting myself if that makes sense. I force myself to remember the occasions when I have been drunk and have become a liability to myself and others! And risk taking behaviours I have undertaken. If I continue to drink I am going to lose everything that matters to me there is only so much patience someone can have I know that. I am going to have cravings more so in social circles this is going to be a challenge it does worry me somewhat these can't be avoided.
