Sober for 173 Days

Hello everyone,

Yes I'm a week away from a well rounded 180 days, but I consider this a inspiring milestone.

In 2014, my first attempt at sobriety lasted a mere 86 days. I relapsed and ventured down a few more rungs of hell before giving sobriety a second chance on June 27, 2015. And so, as of today, I've doubled my sober time and remain committed to stay this way.

I couldn't have done this without all of you here ar SR.

You can have reasons, or you can have results, but you can't have both.

I love these milestone posts! With 10 days until 180, you have some time to think about how you'll commemorate that day. I think you should do something special for yourself that you wouldn't have the money or energy to manage while you were drinking.

Thanks everyone!

To celebrate my upcoming 180 days, I've been asked to chair my first AA meeting on that day.

I consider it an honor. I will also supply all the goodies at the meeting as well and perhaps buy a few toys at the buck shop for the regulars who have to bring their little ones to the meeting.

I think enough time has passed and it's time to give myself another gift: quit smoking cigarettes and cutting down on the sugary treats, too. I could never have quit all these things at once.

Here's wishing everyone another successful 24hrs!😊😊👍👍
