best wishes for a super ny 2016

Just think most of us under 60 days are heading into the newyear with some good sober time under our belt.
I hope for everyone to have success in their sobriety and to enjoy this special gift we have all given ourselves.

I visited my loved one in treatment today for the first time. As I walked out of the building, down the long hallway, I knew I had nothing but this moment and the rest of this day, only. I had no idea what healing was to occur for both of us. I did know that living with active addiction was over for me. I remain in transition.
I cherished the gift of discussion and laughter with my sons this evening. The gift of fresh air and silence. I am grateful to not have fear of the unexpected tonight. I am grateful to have a place to write where others understand. In my home Al anon group this week, we focused on step three. I have been repeating it to myself as many times as I can remember. It reminds me that it is a conscious decision to let go and let god.

Powerful post - thank you
The memorization and meditation daily for me of the 3rd step prayer is constant source of energy and understanding............

Welcome
