There is a cure and you can find your way to it through the help and the steps of AA as a starting point.

The cure is to heal yourself and to free yourself.

It's not easy, but it is actually simple. It'll take time and commitment but you can do it

Try not to let this plunge you into too much despair or beating yourself up.
This is one skirmish not the whole war.

You've shown that you can be sober - now you need to work on the permanency.

Look at your recovery plan again. Can you add to it?
Maybe you can widen your support network a little? Post more maybe?

Maybe even consider some face to face meeting based support like AA or SMART or LifeRing?

why not join the Class of December support thread?

You absolutely can do this - no doubt in my mind

When you go to war against alcohol you may lose a battle or two but you can still win the war.

Yup...As a recovering alcoholic that's the thing I learned that is most valued. One drink gets you drunk and no protection after that. Control is gone. It can lead to a major binge/relapse. Your only real protection is to build a wall so high that first drink can't get in and don't forget about the sneak attacks - be vigilant and always on guard!!!
