Dreams- weird vivid etc

So recently I have been having more dreams. I assume that is common for newly sober people that they remember their dreams more often?

Mine are crazy vivid. I remember most of the dream when I wake up. They are detailed, sometimes very crazy, sometimes calm, but usually very vivid.

Anyone else experience this newly sober? I have a few months under my belt and it seems like the dreams are becoming more real. Common?

Yep, it's very common. Remember that alcohol is a central nervous system depressant....and once you take it away your mind is allowed to "stretch it's legs" so to speak!

Hi,
I think when were in deep sleep stage 3-4 that's when we dream so at least you know your getting deep sleep . Massive subject dreaming , I'd think there are many web sites on the subject . The vivid ones can set your mood for the day sometimes . I don't know if there's a correlation between sober dreams or otherwise .
Its great that your sober for that few months .

Sorry I cant be more helpful .

Yeah that makes sense that I am getting good sleep whereas before maybe that wasnt the case- actually very likely that i wasnt getting good sleep before. For one thing I would wake up a few times to pee because of all the beer I drank lol. It all makes sense that my CNS is starting to get going again and not being depressed by alcohol. Good stuff.

My dreams have been weird, vivid and somewhat disturbing. I had a dream the other night that my ex husband was selling cookies that were made out of dead people. My daughter and I were eating them. I was eating them sneakily as I would an alcoholic bev...
I knew it was wrong. I told him "just make sure our daughter doesn't see you cutting up the people."

As crazy as they are it's nice to wake up rested!

Now that I've revealed myself as a lunatic, I'll bow out.
