On Tuesday I'll have six years sober!
It doesn't seem so long ago that I could barely make six days. Getting sober for good has changed my life and my attitude for the better. I never get tired of waking up feeling good.
I still have the same problems, I just handle them better sober. And I take much better care of my cats and dogs. That's a big one, for me.
If you're thinking about getting sober, do it! You won't regret it. The first few weeks can be hard, but it does get better.

This news makes me smile, least.
Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!
And I can completely relate to being able to take better care of pets in sobriety. I was negligent in ways that make me shudder, but today I am able to be fully present and aware of hazards to my furry loved ones. The change sure feels good, doesn't it?

Good for you...I like and need to read stuff like this...wow o wow 6 years without a hangover ....now that alone is worth it.)))) only have 8 days now but it has been great.....love this sober life..
I just want everyone to know that it's possible to get and stay sober, even for a chronic relapser like me. I never thought I could make it this long but each day is a new gift.
Least, I know how hard you've worked and I'm so proud of you. 6 years sober is great. And, I know your fur babies are happy, too!
