I'm sorry....

I recently had this same experience. He wasn't a super close friend, he was a friend from AA and from around town. I didn't know him well, but I knew him well enough to know that he was a good person who was stuggling mightily. He had a child. He had a family. He had a good heart.

Addiction led him to take his life and it was a heavy thing to absorb.

We can only grieve, work through our sorrow, honor our lost ones with their memories and keep them alive in our own hearts.

No words can really bring comfort, but I want you to know that I care and that I understand.
