jsbodhi, I hope your next post, after your class, is a proud one. Or if it's a, "standing on the corner, not sure whether to go home, or..." that's a good one too. Just post and don't drink.

Some of my strongest desires to drink still come after an evening class. What is that? Mental exertion craves mental oblivion? It might be a good time for a new after-class ritual involving an ice cream reward.

Don't do it, Jen! Rewarding yourself with something else is a good idea. A really delicious fresh fruit drink, a nice long bath, whatever makes you feel great. Drinking sure as hell won't. I know I don't need to tell you that :-)

Its a philospohy class and its the last speech in symposium- alcibiades comes into the symposium drunk on wine ( declaring his love for socrates) its reminiscent of the god dionysus: who happens to be the god of winemaking, wine,grape harvest and sexual desire... You gotta be kidding me!!!! This is the bloody topic!!!

I'll make it though, I'd feel too horrible drinikng after all of your wonderful encouraging posts
