Another test...and mildly entertaining.
Yesterday morning at about 5:20 AM someone in my neighborhood started honking their horn, for long periods of time and LOUD. They were honking for 3-4 minutes of constant horn blowing at a time. I thought it was either a domestic dispute in the area or some kid was trying to wake another kid up for work. I was getting pissed and thought about calling the cops. I knew it was close so I decided to get up to investigate after about 20 minutes. To my surprise the blowing horn was my MY TRUCK in MY DRIVEWAY! So I get into "action" so to speak to find out what-in-the-hell-is going on. I get out there and my newer model diesel is running, the lights are on, the horn is blowing, the radio is on and the fan is on high. The cab is filled with black smoke. The keys to my truck are INSIDE THE HOUSE ON THE WASHING MACHINE. There are no keys in the ignition! I have a 2 neighbors and a police officer in my driveway. I'm dumbfounded. By pure blind luck I get into the truck and start pressing buttons and when i turned the lights "on" the truck shuts off. whew! But the horn is still blasting at this early hour. So I grab my tools and unhook my battery cables, the horn finally stops. Needless to say I've never had this happen before. I had to roll all the windows down to get the smoke out of the truck, but its pouring rain and I can't get the windows up because the batteries have to remain unhooked. I ended having to get a flatbed to haul it to my mechanic shop and file an insurance claim as this little ditty is going to be expensive (catastrophic electrical/CPU failure). That's how my day started. I had to send out an email to the entire neighborhood apologizing as I'm sure it woke them all up at 5 in the morning. Then I get into it with my insurance agent in town (another story altogether). But anyway, didn't drink over it. Not going to drink over it. Wanted to drink over it. Would have drank over it in the past. I hope you all have a good day today and count your blessings. It could always be worse for some of us. For those of you struggling, God Bless, a better life is waiting for you. Jeff.

Bingo. If I was actively drinking like I used to.....forget it. The truck would have started on fire and burned the house down with it as it was parked close to the house. Thank you for pointing that out. You are 100% correct.

I don't believe in ghosts, but I might have changed my mind.
I told my wife that this is the business's way of throwing a little hissy fit and that it doesn't want me to let it go. (yes, I know, kind of egotistic). But seriously, I'm 5 weeks from closing and every single weird issue in the world is coming to the forefront. My wife is superstitious and believes in spirits etc...I have a scientific background and don't believe in much. so its been interesting. Jeff.

OMG! What a story! I wonder if someone tried to break in and that triggered it it all. Staying sober over that incident is remarkable. You did a GREAT! job. Let us know what the outcome is. WOW!

Crazy story, nice touch neighbor with thinking to apologize to everyone.
I had a cpu "meltdown" one time. Driving down the road, dash lights went out , wipers came on and side passenger door opened , freaky.
