I don't remember it ever being fun looking back. Have you considered any of the methods or advice offered in the thread as possibilities for you to quit?

Enough, there are plenty of us here that have been exactly where you are at now. This isn't going to be easy by any means and you are going to have to dig deep for this fight. That being said, what you will get out of being sober is freedom from all of the constraints, heart aches, darkness, hang-overs, and utter destruction that alcohol brings with it for a person with a problem.

After 21 + years of heavy drinking, I had no idea how to approach sobriety. All I knew is that I was throwing away my life with each drink I took. You never know when you will be out of tomorrows. If you aren't happy with how you are living today, make a change. Decide for yourself and make this happen for you. Everyone around you will benefit from your choice to not drink today.

You can do this. Lean on us when you feel the urge to drink. Give us a chance to talk you through the wave so that you can get your life back on track.

No one can make this decision for you. We are here to help when you need it.

Life IS really good without alcohol.

If you embrace and do the work of sobriety, life is better than you ever dreamed.
