Not my Circus
Not my Circus
Not my circus not my monkeys is one of my favorite sayings.
Time and time again people, usually family members try to drag me in their conflicts and then are mad because I won't get on the crazy train with them.
Life is so much simpler when I do the next right thing, try to make myself better, and stay out of others business

I LOVE that saying MIR... and good for you by saying out of your family drama.
I do the same thing - a few of my family drive me crazy, there is a couple that think they are really special because they don't have any mental challenges. They just don't get it and say hurtful things.
Some people live for drama, gossip, and saying bad things about others - what a screwed up life they are living.
Sending hugs.

Wise advice. My husband and I started practicing that and life became much calmer in our home, at least. Now we've been noticing that there is a lot less drama "over there". They all sorted it out without us butting in and further complicating matters.

I love that saying! The one I use is "I don't have a dog in this fight" (borrowed that from Dee).
Used that one just yesterday on an "office space issue" at work... sorta ... here is my 2 cents, but hey ... I don't care... "no skin off my back" make your choice
It's actually a comfort as long as I really mean it
and yeah ... family for me tend to try and draw me in ... my best choice is to abstain

I love that saying too. It took me longer than it should have to learn not to let others ( particularly family) involve me in their drama. I also caused my fair share of drama when I was drinking. My life is much happier and calmer now.
