hi savarna here.
i have stopped competing and have been going through rough patches through my life lately.
since febuary I've been drinking weekly. Ive gained 6 kg and feel dirty and fed up.
Please welcome me back and help me stay sober I'm on day 4 and am detoxing very heavily to feel clean again.
I seem to drink tuesdays after AA silly i know but i need to find new ways of living my life.
Hubby doesn't help me and offers no support.
Ive managed to be a good mum still and do whats needed for them but I'm grumpy and depressed because i know drinking is wrong

Welcome back, Savarna. Sorry that you're feeling grumpy and depressed. The booze messed up everything inside me and I felt that way too. I'm just now starting to get a little more normalcy with my emotions, after a month sober. But I know I have a long way to go.
You've got a good start with 4 days- now you can build on that.

First congrats on day 4! You can do this.
No bashing from me and never think that you are not welcome. People are welcome here no matter what stage of recovery they are in.
I am glad you posted .

No judgement from me.
I understand the weight gain, feeling horrid and dirty.
One of the best things i like about not drinking is waking up in the morning feeling refreshed and clean.
A few days of clean eating, lots of water and good sleep will make you feel better I'm sure xx
