on my 8th day
The hard part was getting past the weekend, now its been 8 days. I feel better sharper in the mind. I have Times were i grt tired.. stomach aches after i eat sometimes and headaches on and off but besides that im feeling good. Starting a new week right. I went grocery shopping got some food and some movies. Gonna just relax all day in the air conditioning its almost 95 degrees here .....so hot. I go back to work tommorow so i will have something to keep me occupied. No one really knows i do drugs or party there i was a functioning drug addict and alcoholic.so i took a week vacation time to stay sober. Hope everyone has a good sunday. Take care.

Great job on 8 days. Filling up the hours can sometimes be difficult especially on the weekends when I used to turn to alcohol as well, movies are a great way to kill some time and help you forget about getting high/drunk.
Nice job Pat!
I was so bored at first, and boredem is a huge trigger for me. Thankfully it didn't take long. Reading, long walks, etc. Now I don't know how I ever had so much time to spend drinking! Some days I can barely find time to check in on these boards.
Just stick with it and use the time to try new things.

I think it is really awesome when people here have taken vacation time to sober up, and have actually followed through. To me, it demonstrates the person is serious as it would be SO EASY, to take the week and drink it away. Great work!
