I may have mentioned this before, and if I have I apologize for bringing it up again. This is rather mundane, but one of the pleasures I have each and every week during the summer is my Saturday morning visits to my friends. I have about 4 stops I make. I get up early on Saturday morning and go see some guys who have been doing the same thing I've been doing all week, which is working our butts off and dealing with one problem after the next. Sharing each other's misery, with a sense of humor of course. Since my injuries, I have 2 that have not made any effort to come and visit me. It's not a big deal, we are grown men and have our own lives, but after 5 weeks I would have thought they might have stopped in to see "what's up". But they haven't. They know I can't drive.

Friends are people and can be unpredictable at times. Most times “friends”, drinking buddies, only appear close in drinking situations. Cherish those we have.
