Terrified
Glad you are with us Cordy. Most of us have done foolish, reckless things when drinking - I sure did. The only way to stay safe is to admit we have no control once it's in our system. It was a relief to get free of it.

I would like to thank everyone again who offered encouragement. I have made a plan for going forward. #1-Stay sober. Today I will call the counselor and I also plan to consult with an attorney. Initially, I lied to my parents and husband about what happened. During the sleepless night, I realized I can't lie anymore. I woke them up and told them. They were extremely supportive. Thanks to all of you for giving each the courage to get through this.
Welp, I hear a LOT of alcoholics say," I could have died" and hear very few ," someone else could have died."
IMO ya gotta lotta good in ya just be reading this. Get the help, put in the footwork to change, and you'll not only stay sober, but love yourself, life, and others more. Be able to add to life.
