Yep! I met my sponsor on here, and on a trip to England I stayed with her for a couple days. We had a sober blast! I also talk/text regularly and am fb friends with some folks on here. Sober alkies are dang cool people!

I live in South America, so I might as well live in another solar system, and I got my travel VISA to the US rejected on top of that... I plan to go to Europe sometime next year, maybe I can meet some people from there.

I would depending on if there was a connection. I've online dated and I loved the randomness of it..... met some really interesting people. Met some odd balls too!
If I was going on a trip and I knew someone from here who I've chatted with lived there I'd be interested in getting together for a coffee. It's the diversity that is so appealing to me.

I actually JUST met up with 2 dear SR buddies this past week. We had been communicating via SR and FB for a couple years and finally decided to do a F2F.....They spent a day and a half with us on our boat down in Florida and I don't think any of us have laughed that much or that hard in many years. We had an absolute sober blast, and have already planned our next adventure together.

Of course I would love a f2f of recovering, helpful people. I can't answer this poll, because I think everyone here who seeks sobriety, failed or not, still deserves to tell their story. And the story can be helpful, or not.
You can face to face at meetings, etc. All I care about is if this tool is working for me. But, yes, I've often wondered what some pple look like. Human nature, I guess. But a sober get together would be great. Great poll. Thanks.

Also id like to buy D a cup of tea & a bacon roll or breakfast to say thank you
& if i met Op & Anna i think going to a library where they sell hot choclate would be pretty cool
