Newbie here and could use some advice and encouragement
hi everybody. I'm 30 years old and have finally come to grips that I have a problem. I've been drinking for about 15 years. Now I'm not a person that drinks everyday. I usually drink once a week and have between 8 and 15 beers in that sitting. I have been doing this for years. My anxiety is getting the worse of me as I always think I'm dying from something and also I think it might be to late and I already caused to much harm. My blood work is always good and blood pressure is usually good so I pretty much always get a clean bill of health. I always get weird stomach pains and think the worst or chest pains. I'm finally done with booze. I found this site and I'm hoping I can get through This. Thanks for taking the time to read and please if there's any advice that you would have to a drinker who only drinks once a week please let me know. Thanks again

Welcome to SR, Castertroy08. It's never too late. The human body in general and liver in particular have amazing recuperative powers. Give sobriety a real chance and you'll be amazed how quickly you'll start feeling better.
Though if you really think you've done some damage, getting a full checkup while being honest with a doctor is always a good idea.
There is a ton of great wisdom and support to be found here. Glad you found us and hope to see you checking in often.

Thank you. Anxiety is a horrible thing. I always feel like I'm dying but in all reality am not. I'm praying getting sober will make all these problems go away.
