Today is your birthday...
Well, technically, it is tomorrow, but my birthday weekend begins today. We are going to the beach with the dogs. There is nothing I love more than running around in the surf with them all day, followed by a big pile of fish and chips at my favorite fish shack. My partner also spoils me like crazy and I'm sure has some fun surprises in store (only now, almost 7 years later, do I let myself believe that I deserve someone with his generous spirit and kind and thoughtful heart).

Should be fun! But certainly the best gift this year has been the gift of sobriety, which I've given myself.
