Work looking out for me

So today the CFO of the company came in told me there was a booze bus taking everyone out to a bar to get hammered on the company's dime.

He said "I'd stay away from that. We budgeted $50/person for this thing. Here's $50 cash."

I don't know why this resonated so well with me. It just seemed so nice that he would go out of his way to do that when he didn't have to. Especially since the company has grown to over 200 employees.

Oh. Haha. Well St. Louis is notoriously bad for alcohol related problems. That and meth of course.

So the CFO and company don't look down on you. They're very nice.

I feel you Justin. I was born in the city but even out here in Wash. all the town events have the beer trailer set up right next to the kiddie bouncy thing (kill 2 birds w/1stone I suppose). Wife and I did the Fair this past year sober and had fun. Spent way less money and didn't have to make as many trips to the disgusting porta-potties or back to the car for refills. 3 doors down was memorable and we actually kept track of the kids rather than let them run so we could do our thing. Yes, these german/catholics drink a lot 'round here.
