Hello from Travis
Hello again.
Hello everyone. I fell off the wagon pretty hard. I had originally made it 84 days into sobriety, and I mistakenly thought I could moderate my drinking. That I was cured. I was obviously wrong. I have returned with a bit more knowledge of myself and what's going on with the addictive behavior. Giving it another (and hopefully final) go. Thanks everyone for being here and listening.
Hi travis, have you got any plans to ensure you stay stopped this time around?
Complacency and the belief I can moderate is a fear I also have... but I have worked hard to implement plans to make sure I don't fall into the trap where my AV tells me I can drink like a normal person.
My mantra "I am an all or nothing person". And when it comes to booze it must be nothing
Checking in here multiple times a day helps as well, art, exercise, reading, shopping lol, writing a gratitude list each day and re reading what I have written. A few suggestions.
Stay sober and it does get easier with time

Thanks everyone, really feels good to see so many supportive responses. I have accepted that I cannot drink at all ever. A difficult truth to deal with and I've made the people in my life who are close to me aware of this so I can't make excuses or try to manipulate my way back into drinking. I've also done some apologizing and realized my incredible level of selfishness. I will definitely be visiting a few times a day.
Thanks again guys.
