Redemption
Hey everyone!
Today I received excellent news in my sober journey. I received a letter informing me that I have been reaccepted to the university I stopped attending five years ago.
This is in a way the ultimate redemption for me. It was this school that I dropped out of years back when getting drunk every night became more important to me than focusing on my studies. It is what began the downward spiral that led to the implosion of my health as well as my hopes and dreams. It derailed my whole life.
Well I am proud to say that it is back to school for me this fall and I am so pumped and so grateful. I don't know if I would be here had I not found this website. The wisdom and insight I have received from SR has provided the guidance I needed to pull myself out of pit of despair that alcohol shackles us into.
I want this to be a reminder to all the people out there who feel like giving up and who think that they are not meant to get out of this and be who they want to be that anyone can get their life back on track. If I can, anyone can. If you want a better life, go get it. Plain and simple.
