Yes You Can! Sober Weekender Thread March 13-15
Reuben! Gonna have to find one this week....
Also...haven't read Revival. ..I'll put it on my list but I have to take a break from Stephen King after the very LONG one I just finished (under the dome). Geeze, it took me forever to read it.
I wish I loved week days as much as weekends. ..I feel like I live for the weekend and then they go by so fast. Work is work... But...overall I'm pretty content. I really can't complain, and I have lots to be thankful for.
Time to start a new book. ..another long one by Greg Iles. We'll see.

Della-a pet skunk? What did you think of it? I know they have their glands removed so they don't spray.
MM-Oh that had to be awful with that smell soaking into the drywall. I am glad you were able to get the smell out. I had no idea they had a remedy for that. I have also encountered the smell in higher concentration and thought I was going to retch it was so strong.
Speaking of dead animals, we had a weird thing happen when we first got out here. As an art project, an art student was dressing up dead animals on the side of the road. It made us do a double-take.
HAF-I think you'll enjoy revival. End was weird, but I thought the end to the Dome was odd as well. I enjoyed the story since it deals with addiction.

HaF, you're not the wolfman? I know what you mean about not being so excited about week days.
Pet skunks, eh? That's one pet I've not had. Rabbits, mice, hamsters, cats, gerbils, guinea pigs. Not all at the same time.
Well, I made it through st. Patrick's day. Thanks for thonking of me with the things, Strat . I'm off to have ice cream an go to bed. Working on my mental gratitude list. And y'all are on it.
Nice mandolin Brain!

I have read about pet skunks. Apparently when you get the stink glads removed, they make great, affectionate pets. You've got to give them a big enclosure with lots and lots of rags, though: they love to make nests, and will rip up your furniture if they don't have a suitable spot of their own.
Checking in this morning. Very grateful to not be hung over this morning. I even got to enjoy a beautiful sunrise on my way into the gym today. Clouds are moving in now and it appears it's going to rain.
Gilmer-I have heard the same thing about skunks being good pets. Never heard of them ripping up furniture though. About as exotic as I've gone has been sugar gliders and hedgehogs. I would never recommend either as pets. However, I adopted them as adults as people were looking to rehome them. The hedgehog reminded me of this "Amazing Adventures of Gumball" episode where they end up with a mean turtle that hisses all the time. Pretty much same story with the hedgehog.
Just for some humor:

Well, as LBrain succinctly observed earlier in this Thread, I've packed on a few Kilos since my Hip_Eye days of fitting into my Powder Blue Dress.
So, assuming I can find a 'Plus'-sized replacement Dress, this Thread ain't over 'til I sing.
