Alcohol Medication?

Hi All - I am not so much new to this site, as I've posted on here in desperate times, read my replies - feeling supported and then disappear - back to drinking. I was wondering if anyone has gone to their doctor and been prescribed something? I was looking into a med that shut off receptors, so that even if you did drink, you would not feel it's effects. Can anyone tell me about how the process went with the doctor? I guess I'm just affraid to admit how much i drink to the doc and I'm scared to have tests done. Thanks!

I've never heard of any medication like you are describing.

It's best to be honest with your dr.

camperol and naltrexone might be what you are seeking. Ask your doctor
