new here, on Day 2

Trying to stop drinking. I drink too much every day and hate what it's done to me. Husband also drinks too much (and smokes too much and smokes weed daily) so this will be hard to sober up while he is still indulging himself. But, I have to stop... need to detox myself from this unhealthy lifestyle. This site and articles look really helpful and I am looking forward to being alcohol-free.

Hi there. I'm so glad you are wanting to get healthy. I too spent a lot of time doing negative things. I'm feeling much better now and I know you will too. Stay strong, you can do it.

Not sure how I will get through the evening today without caving in and drinking... wish I had someone to talk to. I didn't know it could be so difficult to stop.

Read other posts. Share what you're feeling. Go to an AA meeting if you can, where you will get phone numbers of people to call. You don't need to do this alone, Vada.
