Hello from Leb

Hi everyone,

I'm Day 26 I think now and have been going really well. Even had a sober birthday. However tonight I am antsy and totally unable to sleep. It's 2.54 am and I have tossed and turned and read books and eaten food and still can't seem to chill out.

I don't feel like drinking at all but don't know why all of a sudden this anxiety and sleeplessness have hit this far in. I guess I've had it pretty good so far. Maybe this has just come as a reminder that I cannot be too complacent and that there will always be times when I have "off" days

Anyway, I'm actually feeling more relaxed now tapping away on the computer and getting my feelings out.

I have been to the library to get "the chimp paradox" as I noted that a lot of you have read it and I might get a lot out of it too.

Thanks for listening I'm feeling better now already.

Hi leb; try taking a warm/hot bath to see if that helps you get back to sleep.

SW mentioned "The chimp Paradox" yesterday; it's on my list, too.

Congrats on 26 sober days!!!!

I hope these symptoms pass quickly and that you feel better.

Glad your feeling better now putting it on the page do you keep a personal journal that really helped me

The chimp paradox is an exellent book

I found out the guy who wrote the book spent 10 years of his early career helping alcoholics

Its a good book lol
