Two years sober today . Soooooooo Happpyyyy!!
I am absolutely thrilled that I have not picked up a drink since Dec 10th, 2012. For some wonderful reason it just happened to work that day and sobriety is so very normal now. I tried. And failed. Many, many times before. In fact it took almost two years of stopping and starting before I got it.
To any newcomer struggling or wondering if life without drink is possible... It is. It truly is. Never, ever, ever stop trying to achieve sobriety. My life was simply chained to drink and obsessing about it. Now I miss very little of that existence. And what I do miss is illusion rather than the reality.
I wouldn't trade my clean and sober life for anything.Happy me, and blessings and gratitude to SR for being there. Always. Xxxx

Great to hear that Marria - two years is wonderful.
I was like you - completely trapped by my addiction and never imagining a way out. Coming here made me feel entirely different about myself. We never have to suffer alone. Glad you are part of SR.

Hey Marria- A very BIG congrats on the two years. You should feel very proud.
Your post is a great example of how, with some determination and commitment, remaining sober is not only very possible, but also very rewarding.
Good stuff indeed!
