Mission life.
Finally got moved to a bed, serious upgrade
) I've been sleeping on a floor for a few weeks waiting for a bed to open up. Really didn't think I was going to make it but I took the sugestions. Don't use, go to meetings, talk to people about what's bothering me. Be honest, open-minded, and willing. I'm starting to comprehend what it means to believe in a power greater than myself can restore me to sanity. I always had a hard time believing in myself let alone someone else. But I put on this mask for a very long time.. It worked too! As long as I was under the influence I was good;people looked up to me. I ruled my own little world of crimes, lies, hustling, manipulation, false pride, broken love affairs and everything else this disease puts a soul thru. I did this for a really long time. I'm lucky I don't have any felony convictions. I everything was good( so I thought) till about 6yrs ago. The drugs started to not have any lasting affect on me. I was no longer able to medicate and get the buzz that I was looking for. Getting so out of hand that I didn't even want to mess with me. I really was Dr Jekyll and hide. They are not lying when they say we were at least two ppl instead of one. Idk this was suposse to be a post about living in the mission but I rambled off idk I'm going to get sum sleep haha.

What an awesome post!!! I never lived in a mission, but I did spend some time locked up and it was what I needed to prove, to me, that my life was spinning out of control and I needed to make some changes.
You are a living testament to "hitting bottom" and learning from it!!

All that you are being taught and
you are learning are the building
blocks to live your life on each day
you remain clean and sober.
Embed those lessons you are
learning deep within your head
and heart and then you can pass
them on.
