guys and gals hope you all doing ok today
heading into day 14 for me - a record period of time for me and feeling ok - not wow amazing but ok and that will do for me ATM
Bit anxious now as I am seeing my addiction counsellor in a few hours and to be honest the last time I saw him I was
a) coming towards the end of 5 days on the wine
b) drunk
c) slightly aggressive but not in a physical way but the angry come down of an alcoholic
the first thing I will do is apologise and I hope these 2 weeks will at least give him hope to keep seeing me - his advice to me during my last session was 1 bottle of wine a day but I stopped the day after seeing him so surely that can't be bad??
anyways sorry for posting but just wanted a bit of encouragement

I'm pretty sure if he didn't want to see you again the appointment would have been cancelled Mike. Professionals in this area deal with this all the time.

thanks Dee - yeah I kind of knew that but needed someone as wise as you to confirm and yep I fully expect him to lay down the law and rightly so too - guess it's time to start facing the consequences .......

The good thing is that you recognize your actions were not good. Go to your appointment & own up to your $hit, I'm sure your counselor will appreciate that.
Congrats on 2 weeks without drinking!!! I'm proud of you!

thanks guys - means a lot
appointment went well - I apologised and he was fine did not seem unduly concerned but said what a difference between mike sober and mike drunk
got some stuff to be working on from him and seeing him 2 weeks
he was gobsmacked and very pleased I have 2 weeks under my belt
work tomorrow so busy - good
