Refuelling the tank.
Refuelling the tank.
Sorry, couldn't help the punny title =)
So lately I've let myself get dragged down by stuff, anxiety, work stuff, injury, emotional issues.
It's time to pick myself up.
Sometimes we all need a quick jolt to clear the fog and get back our fighting spirit. I know I need one, so I'm writing this to help myself and maybe help anyone else feeling the same this afternoon.
Everything we've fought for is paying off, day by day. Our problems won't go away overnight, but we can tear them down, piece by piece.
Drinking tonight is not an option, we've come too far.
We are better than this. Desire isn't a sign of weakness, but overcoming it to be our best self is a sign of strength.
One day we'll discuss the amazing lives we had thanks to sobriety from our prospective retirement homes, but tonight we fight so tomorrow we get to live.
No Relapse No Surrender.
Tom.
