A “Convenient Drunk” No More
21 Days is great!! Well done!
Your honesty is compelling, and so helpful to others...... I too was "called out" by a child, my 18 year old son.
It was evident at that point I had progressed beyond what my saturated brain could comprehend. I became willing about all else to stop, and by grace - one day at time stay stopped.
Today is the one we focus on, that's it!!!
Glad you're here with us!

Great Post Jerri! Smart move tho! Congrats to your 21st day too! Keep it up and always remember your driving force to being sober, "the reason why" if you do that, days will be weeks, weeks will be months and before you know it, you are finally free!
Yeah I know how you feel. When I was drinking I could skip breakfast, have lunch and then take or leave dinner. Would usually not bother if I was drinking. And I was rarely hungry. I usually ate one meal per day, sometimes two and never three.
These past two weeks I am starving by the time I wake up, eating a massive breakfast, decent lunch and hungry again by 4pm. So a huge dinner and then supper with something before I go asleep. I seriously can't remember ever eating like this before. I guess its my body's way of telling me that it needs to rebuild and recover. Ah well, to be fair there are a lot of drinking calories to replace.

Congrats on three weeks, Jerri! I know the scatter-brained feeling well. For me it's also about concentration and information retention. Sometimes it's as if I can barely follow what's going on at meetings cause my concentration is so off. And I find it gets worse when I have a post-acute withdrawal day. (If you haven't read about PAWS, I would recommend doing so.) The sense I get from others is that these things do improve over time! Wishing you the best on your ongoing sobriety adventure...
