Went to a pub
Went to a pub
I didn't drink.
In fact I wouldn't be there at all but a friend asked me to meet him there and he had just been diagnosed with cancer and said he understood he was putting me out but would appreciate it.
His chances are very good, by the way. They caught it incredibly early.
What struck me was how the smell of alcohol and the drunks and everything just left me faintly repulsed. I'm not going to make a habit of going to pubs, like I said exceptional circumstance. But now I feel it's less for fear of drinking but more that I just plain don't like being there.
No Relapse, No Surrender.
Tom.
